Mention staff on Timeline

You can @mention your store’s staff in comments. Staff will get email notifications when they are mentioned in a comment. If they use the Shopify app and they have push notifications enabled, then they’ll also receive an alert on their mobile device.

Steps:

1. While writing a comment, enter an @, and then start typing a staff’s name. Shopify suggests staff who match what you enter.
2. If Shopify suggests multiple names, then use the down and up arrow keys to select a name, and press enter or return to confirm your choice.

Tip

You can also click the @ button in the comment box to choose from a list of all staff in your store.

Attach files to your Timeline

You can attach files to add context or more information to your conversations. For example:

• You can attach a photo of an item to show its condition before shipping.
• You can attach copies of your inventory transfer receipts to keep all the information in the same place.
• You can attach a photo of a QR code on a shipping label.

Steps:

1. While writing a comment, click the paper clip icon in the comment box.
2. Choose the file that you want to attach using the dialog box, and then click Open.

Tip

You can also drag-and-drop files into the comment box to attach them to your message.

The file is attached as part of your comment.

Add a profile photo to appear on your Timeline

You can also add a custom photo to your profile so that it appears next to your comments.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, click your username and account picture.
2. Click Manage account.
3. Click Upload photo.
4. In the dialog box, find the image that you want to use, and then click Open.
5. Click Save to confirm the changes to your profile.
