The goal of the proposal is to develop the wood processing industry into an important economic industry by 2030; establish a Vietnamese wood product brand in the domestic and foreign markets; and strive to make Vietnam one of the world’s largest wood production, processing and exporting countries. Specifically, by 2025, the export value of wood and forest products will reach 20 billion US dollars, of which the export value of wood and wood products will exceed 18.5 billion US dollars; by 2030, the export value of wood and forest products will reach 25 billion US dollars, of which wood and wood products will be exported. amounted to more than $20.4 billion.

One of the tasks of the project is to develop infrastructure and scale up production. Specifically, five high-tech forestry parks will be built to attract investment from wood processing enterprises and auxiliary material production enterprises.

The task of the project is to build a national wood products exhibition center that meets international standards; encourage the construction of wood product design and research centers that meet consumer demand, culture and preferences.

Another task of the project is to launch various wood products with competitive advantages, high added value and high market demand.

In addition, it is necessary to maintain and expand the export market share, actively carry out trade promotion activities for wood and wood products in major markets such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, the European Union, and China, and expand the sales scope in new markets with great potential and advantages; effective implementation Various Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), building and developing the “Vietnam Timber” brand, increasing e-commerce, and promoting digital transformation in business, etc. Furthermore, it will make a positive contribution to enhancing the competitiveness and credibility of Vietnamese wood products in the domestic and foreign markets.
